Hi Krystal, 

For students after graduation (or any student who becomes inactive), we move them to a different Active Directory group 
which allows the following access to continue: 

    * Email account (through Google Apps) 
    * Access to our portal (so they can request transcripts, view the alumni directory, and a couple other things) 

Email accounts on Google Apps are only closed if the account remains inactive for more than a year (and the student is 
not currently registered). 

Students and faculty/staff are on different email systems so if a student transitions to an employee they're on our 
locally hosted Zimbra system (and not on Google Apps).
