Hello all,

I agree with Diego. The main objective in the design of a honeypot is to
make an attractive system to be attacked. When the honeypot system is
running, the information gathering from attacks to the honeypot is used
(or is mainly used) to monitor unauthorized access and adjust/enhance
your network's protection.

Best Regards.

Tora

What do you think about this combination of both options? I think that
the two ones are correct.

A honeypot is a security resource operated to monitor its probe,
attack or compromise by entities who are unauthorized, or have reason
to believe they are unauthorized, to use those resources.
(The omitted goal of this resource is to improve the understanding of
the blackhat community techniques).
