Heres the list ... (and knowing that you are near the DC area, you'll understand): - step 1: pick any fortune 500 that does gov't work - step 2: let some of the spook types help define how "to deal with punks that try anything with us" ... there you go, you can pick out the fortune 500 companies that do DoD type work. (look around Crystal City, Linthicum). These folks meet force with force. Thats just the way it works with them. I have a friend that worked down there ... talked about a friend of his that would cover his mouth when he talked with you. He often would talk w/o looking right at you. Occasionally, he'd start moving his lips like he was talking. --- I guess its the lip readers that he was fooling. Sure - its funny to us. But you have to agree, there are folks like that. There are ex-higher-level folks from the DoD / NSA / etc working at these decision levels in the Fortune 500. I can imagine it ... and I mentioned in my previous email about the financial services (institutional) company that I'm in the 4th of a 6-8 wk engagement with. They just removed the strike back (more like an "annoy back" mechanism). - joe

No, name 3. I can't imagine that the legal departments of a single FORTUNE 500 firm would be so negligent as to bless such activity. Nor can I imagine that anyone with a reasonable security background would be so stupid. The only place that I've seen that (never at a customer site) was in a particular hype-ridden article that was promulgated based on an interview with a well-known industry hypester.- the terrorists that hit the Lockerbie flight targetted that exact flight due to the larger numbers of what appeared to be US govt folks as discovered from hacking into a Saaber ticketing systemCan you document this or provide a pointer to where any reputable source has backed up such a claim? Sounds like you've been reading "Information Warfare" or Tom Clancy's "NetFarce" books, Joe... Don't give in to the Disinformation of the dark side of The Force, Joe... mjr. -- Marcus J.
