Hi all. Steve Gibson, author of Optout also recommends are more comprehensive app called 'Ad-Aware'. http://www.lava-soft.de (I'm pretty sure that's the URL). A very comprehensive tool for removing tracking type dlls, cookies and other nasties. It's also free. (Apologies for the HTML, this is a work based machine). -----Original Message----- From: VULN-DEV List [mailto:VULN-DEV () SECURITYFOCUS COM]On Behalf Of John Masters Sent: Monday, September 11, 2000 6:55 AM To: VULN-DEV () SECURITYFOCUS COM Subject: Re: All Advantage Spyware Best bet is to visit www.grc.com and find an app called OptOut. It will scan your drives for those nasty spyware dll's, and prompt you for their removal. I know that CuteFTP has advert.dll (not sure if the later versions have this).
