PhoneSweep worked right out of the box! I was scanning hundreds of customer
lines within the hour. However, I have a problem with their dictionary
attack methodology on discovered modems. Right now, you have to enter a
userid and password into one file. It's cumbersome.

Overall I find it to be fast, stable, and easy to use. The reports are
clean and easily consumable by execs and techies alike. Two-thumbs-up.

Hey Folks,

Anyone have any experiance with commercial war dialing packages compared
to the free ones? In particular I am wondering about:

1. PhoneSweep

Compared to:

2. ToneLoc (tools)
