We do basic blocking of DHCP scopes from other DHCP scopes using Router Access lists.  It has slowed down virus 
propagation. We have had some complaining but it has been worth it.

Yes an IDS (intrusion detection system)  Tipping point!! It updates itself with new definitions ,  Great addition to 
our network!!!
Has eliminated this and many other problems.
