I've been using both the Cisco VPN Client v4.0.3a and Symantec AntiVirus
9.0.0.338 with Windows XP SP2 RC2 for a while now and the only real
difficulty I've run into as of yet was the Windows Firewall service
blocking the push updates from the parent Symantec Antivirus server by
default. By creating an exception for the parent server to contact the
client this issue is resolved. There were no issues with the Cisco VPN
Client in my configuration (both in full tunnel and split-tunnel
configurations).

Subject: Mixed Messages about SP2

Hi, everybody...

I am getting mixed messages about Windows SP2 - scheduled for late
August or...? Some say "Bring it on!" while others have concerns that it
will break services that we depend on today. The services we are most
concerned about are our VPN service (Cisco) and Symantec anti-virus.
There may be other things.

Does anyone have experience yet with the beta version that you're
willing to share? How do people "weigh in" on these concerns? Are you
doing testing yet that is producing reliable results?

Thanks much...
