I believe that the CISSP is a very vital part if you want to work in the
security field. It teaches you the fundamentals and the methodologies
required in the field, i.e. a methodical way to approach situations. I
myself am studying for the CISSP and it helps you see the whole process
of a risk assessment from ground up. Why, when and how to perform it and
the end deliverables resulting from it.
