I don't know what you guys have against MSFT. I think that LCS is quite awesome and it is fully AD integrated, which means that you can configure everything and monitor everything using the same environment. The SQL logging and archiving means that everything is really secure, AND if you want to open the gates of your network to be able to communicate with the outside world it can be done securely (and under your central monitoring) with Federation and Public IM connectivity. Integrate LCS with your IP telephony, presence awareness and even enable users that are on the move to have encrypted access from the outside world into your LAN chatting services. Yes I need a good instant messager like groupwise messager. One that I could use for internal us ONLY!!!! .... I need it to log all chat, be able to have multi people chatting at the same time in the same chat session. One that is easy to maintain, on the server piece and chat program. If there are any that will also work with MS enviroment since we are moving to a MS network. (It SUCKSSSSSSSSSSS) So any info would be great, plus thank you all for helping me out with this little problem. --Luis -----Original Message----- From: John Maher [mailto:john.e.maher () gmail com] Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 12:51 PM To: tech.louie () verizon net Subject: Re: Messager Question. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Are you referring to instant messaging programs? Hello all, Its been a while since I posted something. I have a question that I need
help with. We are a Novell shop going to move to MS (I know it's bad) ... Right now we are using Novells Groupwise messager for internal use. It does not connect out side out network at all. Since we are moving to MS is there other messager that we could use for internal use only that will not connect out side the network. Something secure plus also be able to log conversations.
Thank you. --Louie
