In-Reply-To: <20020313090656.I26738 () techmonkeys org> http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/109/docsis_config6 .html#511694956 u all should read this . if they have any brain they will use an authentication string which creates an .md5 if u don't know what that is go here... ftp://coast.cs.purdue.edu/pub/tools/unix/crypto/md5/M D5.README GL trying to break it. also the headend will get this message when your modem fails the checksum %UBR7200-5-AUTHFAIL: Authorization failed for Cable Modem 0001.9E89.64C1 on interface Cable6/0 The cable modem will also have a status of reject(m) instead of online. When the admin at the headend gets this message a few times what do u think is going to happen...
