Re: Cybercrime as destructive as credit crisis

But don't you think cybercrime is much the same?

Don't so many people turn their heads and ignore the pending "crisis" in
computer security?

It seems in the forums, blogs, in person, etc. that so many people are
clueless when it comes to cyber crime. Sometimes I feel like that guy
Mel Gibson played in Conspiracy Theory. Preaching paranoia and pending
doom to all. When I talk about cyber crime to non-techies and even some
techies, they all look at me like I'm some kind of conspiracy theorist.

Maybe I am?

Just looking for your further thoughts.

I respectfully disagree. This is a little sensationalist I must say.

I wonder if other industries allow over hyping their issues to this

I know its job security. But this just looks kinda ridiculous to
anyone
besides us.

The credit crisis was there for quite some time before everyone became
aware of it. It just ept growing and not existing.
