Hm, but no. The problem as stated was:

This is an interesting excersize (sic) in security, to quote:

"A friend of mine gave me a riddle this morning regarding "Where's
Waldo?". The riddle is as follows:

You and a *friend* play "Where's Waldo?". You solve the puzzle before
your *friend*, and you want to prove to your *friend* you solved the
puzzle, without giving him any hints. How do you do this?"

Zero knowledge? Geographic descriptions? Riddles? Hashes?
How do you let your *friend* know that you solved it, without helping out?

"I know where waldo is"
"OK, I trust you, you don't have to prove it".

*yawn*

You obviously don't have multiple kids who have played this sort of game.

"ooh.. I know where waldo is" "no, you dont snotnose" "oh yeah I do, and you
don't, nyah nyah" "OK, prove it" "No, because then you'll know where it is
too, and I'm better than you".

Now go back and think about it in that context - which I believe is the default
case anytime more than one person of a mental age to enjoy "where's waldo"
books is looking at the book at the same time.. ;)
