Well, I have the same problem. The Mac iChat help says:

"You cannot create a Jabber account using iChat. Your Jabber account  
needs to be set up and registered on a Jabber server, and you need a  
valid Jabber ID to enter in iChat."

So, could you do this for me, too? I fear you're on your way to  
becoming an unpaid worker for server regs... must be some way to do  
this through a server page or something?
