My point is that this thread would not have made it onto the
[Dailydave] mailing list.

At least not after the second or third post.

Ummm no he didn't in fact Dan Geer just fired a message on the same
 thread yesterday, and Dave himself contributed? Perhaps re-check
your email, click the "Get Mail" button at the top left of your
mail client repeatedly, it may help. If that doesn't work then
contact support :)
