I would suspect the the Starbucks and McD's of the world pay for that access/bandwidth on the back end... So, is it worth it the increase in cost simply for guest access? Doesn't Starbucks and McDonalds outsource wifi to AT&T, which probably is fully CALEA-complaint? Yes, I know it's probably just a matter of time, but in the mean time....we're clearly reaping the benefits. Does anyone know how the Starbucks and McDonalds of the world manage the risk associated with their open networks?Risk? What risk? ;-)
