I built an Imsai 8080 in high school .. soldered all 16k of memory and wrote an OS for it which I had to toggle into the front panel .. I even wrote a video driver so that I could use the TV80 terminal I built .. good times :-)

I'll bet not as much as I miss working on the card punches and readers.  :-)
