Switches? Altair 8800... IMSAI 8080 (available built, of for about 50% less as a kit - circa 1975). By 1980 our micro 
lab also had a 20 meg HDD that was about ten rack units high and required an extra deep rack. How about punch tape? Far 
more modern than the punch cards I used in high school... :)
