Re: New Internet for Security

A new internet won't help. When any user installs any software or
operating system that he hasn't personally written, he's taking a
risk. Even if the internet were perfectly secure, people want new
features and new applications all the time, and so will install new
software, and that software will have security errors, or worse - be
designed to steal information or machine resources. Getting users to
install this software is easier to accomplish and harder to eliminate
than an insecure internet.

Do We Need a New Internet?

"Bad enough that there is a growing belief among engineers and
security experts that Internet security and privacy have become so
maddeningly elusive that the only way to fix the problem is to start over."

Do you think it is really that bad?
