  Well, if it did explode, then it would.  But it doesn't, and so it wouldn't,
because that's not how RFID zappers work.  They simply induce overvoltages in
the power induction circuits of the chips and cause little localised burn-outs
in the silicon itself.  No dramatic explosions, nothing 'resonating' in the
mechanical sense of the word.

  Of course there's always the question of how long these things /will/ last
in the body, how prone to breakdown of mechanical integrity they might be, and
how harmful any of the components/materials used might be.  People used to
think silicone was a fairly harmless inert substance to leave in the body
until breast implants had been widespread for a couple of decades and the bags
started to leak or burst.
