Hey Anand,
a virus scanner does more than just blocking a port. That is what a
Personal Firewall is used for. First off, verify that your Scanners
are all working properly. If you have the McAfee EPO check that all
systems are up to date, next check that the scanners themselfs are
working (try using EICAR: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EICAR ). If it
is working, scan a machine (full scan, all local drives). If that
doesn't find anything, doublecheck with an online scanner. That should
help you ensure if there is or is not a virus infection.
