Also saves bandwidth by stopping smtp connections based on a reputation database.  Doesn't even waste system resources 
scanning email it actually stops it at the connection level.

Used to use postfix, vams and sonicwall all in line and postfix worked extremely well as a mail gateway but vams and 
sonicwall just couldn't handle traffic or had a very high false positive rate.

I highly recommend the Ironport appliances, they have very low rate of false
positives, a high % of spam filtering, and very nice technology features to
integrate it to your network.

assassim.

I worked with all...all have good and bad...you should make a real-trial
