I second this topic. Something that would not only make an interesting reading for your markers but can also find it's way into mainstream publication, especially, both being pushed into irrelevance.

I would be much interested in proof reading/ editing in case you need it.

Will keep you posted on this topic if you confirm that it's indeed the thing you want to work on.

You may want to write about the succession of network security devices and are they really all that effective. To whit, there was the IDS and now the IPS and so on. Is the IDS still relevant? Is the IPS the successor to the IDS? Are they both irrelevant? You could then go on to chronicle the weaknesses and strengths of each solution. Once done, you could then go on to offer what your ideal solution would be. That would easily chew up 80-120 pages. Food for thought.
