Have you checked your system for spyware? Go to http://security.kolla.de/ and download Spybot. Install it, update it, run it and get rid of whatever it finds. In addition, your problem could be as simple as too much code going on in the background: have you run "msconfig" and gotten rid of whatever is using up your memory? What about checking www.sysinternals.com for programs that can map processes to programs, so that you are aware of what is happening on your computer? (What about a back door program on your computer?) What does netstat tell you? These are all basic things you can do to maintain your computer - educating yourself as to what is happening is the best thing to do at this point.
