Erm... What operating system are we talking about? (for us who are clueless about the zone alarm) If this ZA is used with the windows 9x family, I wonder just how it actually supposed to provide that kind of functionallity? If it does and becomes widely used with insecure operating systems, the next generation of "B02K", "Sub-7" which the first poster were conserned about will certainly disable ZA before doing network access. One of ZA's main strengths is in allowing you to control what programs on you system are allowed to access the 'net. You cannot do that with a firewall that runs on a seperate device. This feature will allow you to not only block trojans from sending data away from your computer, but it will notify you when they attempt to do so, so you can hunt them down and route them to the great bit-bucket in the sky.
