The LAN Times and Data Communications sponsored "Best of Show Networld +

<http://www.nai.com/about/news/press/1998/october/102898.asp> ) it would
lead you to believe that they actually won the Best of Show Award in the
"Network Security and IP Tools" category. It is nothing more than a
wonderful example of creative writing and word play.

I read this article when it came out, and must say (maybe its because I
do 'read' articles) that I found it obvious they had not won best of
show, but hd just been 'honoured' as they say. Knowing NAI if they had
won, it would have been plastered everywhere, not just in a standard
(though well worded) press release.

Whats the deal with this adaptive proxies anyway? As others have
mentioned, it looks like the reworking of other companies old
philosophies in some respects. Anyone have details on what makes the TIS
adaptive proxies unique enough to patent?
