Re: smtp redirection

That is the problem; they are not all on campus and the travel back and
forth with laptops and want email to work seamlessly.


We have set-up a anti-spam wall and use MX records to direct traffic
to it.  I have not yet blocked SMTP mainly because of our POP/IMAP
users that need SMTP.  How has everyone dealt with this issue?


If all senders are on-campus, have a"mail.hiram.edu" for the desktop
clients that is different
from "smtp.hiram.edu" or whatever for incoming MX.  Allow it to send out
through the
firewall but not receive smtp inwards.
