The google toolbar is easy to use, downloads and installs readily even for those with little technical knowledge from www.google.com and indexes all files on the computer and WebPages that have been cached. It will also sit in the background and quietly log all chats from then on if that is set as a default. It does a surprisingly thorough job of being able to index, access, and find information on a drive. It is not intrusive, and will capture the needed information - *caveat* off a machine whose user is not technologically astute. As with many such items, a savvy user can turn off the logging of chat, delete chat files, and set the toolbar to re-index, overwriting what had been there before. If that occurs, then it would be a red flag for someone to investigate this machine and user more closely.
