To get to the point, does icq utilize some form of spyware no one has noticed untill now? Do earlier versions exhibit this kind of behaviour as well? Why me not others?
Other reportet it to me, too (I'm a happy linux user). But I don't think that they've installed "spyware". Just make normal connections to the icq hosts to fetch your mails and now you just fetch some ads, too. That they have *enabled* this feature is just marketing logic. So no reason to fear - at least no fear that you shouldn't have anyways when using non opensource software on you computer.... bye, -christian- -- Christian Hammers WESTEND GmbH - Aachen und Dueren Tel 0241/701333-0 ch () westend com Internet & Security for Professionals Fax 0241/911879 WESTEND ist CISCO Systems Partner - Premium Certified
