hi,

yes and no:

WinME / IE 5.50.4522.1800 : REALLY many A's (about 20,000 or so, i dunno
where the address bar's limit is) leads to an Abnormal program termination
of IEXPLORE.EXE (generated by MS Visual C++ Runtime Library.

Win2K / IE 5.00.2920.0000 : seems not to accept URIs beyond a certain limit,
and additionally throws a 414 error page (which is a server configuration
thing i guess, i tried it with http://www.msn.de , the default homepage of a
fresh IE5German install).

Gruß / Regards,
