Hi,

I think you're doing the best thing

I agree too. Really! Only two things to say:

1. It is absolutely necessary
2. The mod should not lower his efforts. It´s important.

One more thing: For me it is simply impossible to "delete an offending e-mail
with telnet". Not because i don´t know how to use telnet and the POP protocol.
But simply because i don´t get my mail with the POP protocol, and not with smtp,
either. I get my mail with Lotus Notes, and i don´t have any information about
the underlying protocol (hint: if anyone has...). So simply assuming that the
whole world should be able to do this or that is not appropriate. I still think,
there are limits.

Greetings
Siegfried

Actually, for the record, it got me with KMail as well. It didn't
bother me at all, though, since I was highly amused while trying to get rid
of it. =)

I *do* make an effort to be considerate, but I also clearly screw up. I
won't nail you on purpose, but I might easily do it by mistake. Caveat
subscriber. Be careful which MUA you use, and learn enough of the POP
protocol to delete the offending e-mail via telnet if you need to.

I think you're doing the best thing, I mean, that sort of thing is
usually just annoying, so I just take it in stride.
