You've got a point. TFTP can be called nasty for being slow, unencrypted, unauthenticated, and in it's classic form, unable to transfer a file of more than 16MB. Not to offend the gods of the Internet (Al Gore and Bill Gates) but I would whistle dixey (whatever that sounds like) if TFTP disappeared from my life. --- Matt Kettler <mkettler () evi-inc com> wrote:
Yes, tftp is unauthenticated. That alone is not grounds to call it "nasty", as so are most http and smtp transactions.
