Unfortunately, Norton Ghost doesn't know anything about
freebsd, openbsd
file systems.

Norton Ghost does work great with ext2 filesystems!
You must be using a >very< old version if ext2 isn't working seamlessly.

Hope it helps.
Mat.

For Linux I use Power Quest's Drive Image. It understands
ext2, and does
a decent job (does a great job for MS Windows).
Unfortunately, it is not
well supported for Linux. I am unsure if it works for
FreeBSD--don't you
use UFS?

Can unix dump solve my requirement? AFAIK, it does an
entire file system
backup but to restore it, you will have to have a unix
installed on the
machine where you want to restore the dump information.

Correct me please.

Thanks.
