Making an image of my setup

What would be the best approach for creating an image of my snort box so
that I can set it up to as many machines that I want without having to
reinstall the o.s. from scratch?

Unfortunately, Norton Ghost doesn't know anything about freebsd, openbsd
file systems.

Can unix dump solve my requirement? AFAIK, it does an entire file system
backup but to restore it, you will have to have a unix installed on the
machine where you want to restore the dump information.

Correct me please.
