Hi Robin,

Yes. DisplayLink USB Graphic Adapters.
I have been using a version 1.0 adapter for several years on a
1024x786 desktop system. And also a Plugable UGA-2K-A USB 2.0 to
VGA/DVI/HDMI Graphics Adapter (version 2.0) on a laptop driving a
HANNS-G HH251 at 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz, both having no issues whatsoever
right out-of-the-box.

In my opinion the DisplayLink hardware I have purchased was well worth
the money.
I don't have any experience with any other vendors, so don't have a
hands-on comparison to share with you. As you will notice if you
peruse the web site, DisplayLink technology is used in many
non-DisplayLink branded adapters.

As an aside, in an MS lab I managed several years back, I 'think' we
had eight version 1.0's running a variety of differing types of
monitors off one Dell desktop, for a total of twelve monitors. The
DisplayLink web site states this: "You can add up to six additional
monitors to your PC or four additional monitors to your Mac". I KNOW
we had more than six running off one box. It's quite possible there
were several additional monitors running out a dual or quad display
adapter. Ahhh, Microsoft embellishments. What can I say. :^)

Find them here:

And finally, hello List Members.
I suppose this means that I officially outed myself from lurking with this post.
It is good to be here.

Best regards,

Robert
