Hmm. My script expects the device to be in discover mode, and a bluetooth
earpiece might not be in that mode all the time.

I found one (of questionable functionality) and tried, and it wasn't
discoverable.

But Nick's script uses hcitool, and connects to a bluetooth device.

I tried to use hcitool as well, and it didn't seem to work.

I can modify my script to use hcitool, like Nick, so that it will work
with devices that aren't discoverable,
but I don't seem to have an earpiece that works.

I've got a broken jawbone that I'm going to try with when I get home, the
only problem will be that laptop is a Mac which doesn't have hcitool.
Google suggests some alternatives so I'll see what I can find. Or I might
use this as another excuse to install Debian.
