According to CNN, she went to Lebanon. The Minister of Energy and Water in

So, who do you suppose she'll be talking to?

First, my confusion, Hezbollah is in Lebanon, "Palestinian" government
is made up of mostly Hamas.

Second, why would Rice be visiting with the Minister of Energy and

true Lebanon government is NOT Hezbollah

The Lebanese government is a coalition of parties, one of which is
Hezbollah, and that's why the Minister of Energy and Water is a Hezbollah
member (and that's why I mentioned it).

There weren't so much inept, as powerless. And it was just another

going on now. I figure Lebanon's government WANTS to work with the US
to end hostilities and the US would like to help the Lebanon
government regain control of its southern boundaries and restabilize
the area. So, again, she's not bargaining with terrorists. The US
government's policy in dealing with terrorists (since, at least,
Reagan) is: we don't negotiate with terrorists. But, that's your
government's policy, Russia's policy...virtually every country's
policy.

Yes, it's the policy. Nevertheless, it's what we do. There's a difference
between what politicians say, and what they do.
