Hopefully, none would. The bar has been raised from "killing hostages
on-board" to "crashing into building full of 5000 people".

Plus, it's an unnecessary measure. It's 2001's threat model. Should I
ever end up on a plane with hijackers, I'd be at the front of the line
to get myself killed trying to take them out. Should the pilot find
himself flying a plane full of 500 terrorists, I would hope he would
have the guts to aim for water.

That is the reason I feel thatr the new security measures at airports
are not only a waste of time and money, but also sends the message
that we are scared.

It wont be a random search that nabs the hijackers (who BTW didnt have
any contraband on the planes), it will be the people on board who dont
want to contribute to thbe death of semi-innocents.
