I think discussing the advantages and disadvantages of using a self signed cert is pretty darned close to the OP's topic, but whatever.
Moderation, is, of course, relevant.
It comes up about every month. Get over it. Look through the list archives for every angle on it, including third parties which provide a moderated version of the list.
Palestine is also somewhat relevant, in that there is a large amount of misinformation and lack of disclosure involved; disclosing information leads to discussion.

Netdev should be banned.
