Samford University is a WinMagic customer also, and generally well
pleased. I have asked WinMagic to form a user group, but no action so
far. I think there could be strong benefit to a higher education WinMagic
user group.  Thoughts?

Good evening,

We at Penn State have been using WinMagic also for around 2 years now in
production. We were using a different tool and had looked at all the
bigger companies but also liked some of the unique features they offered.
If you are ever interested in another data point for WinMagic please let
me know. I would be glad to give you some honest feedback on the pros and
cons we have found thus far.

We recently did a bit of a bake off and WinMagic came out above a couple
of those you mention and some others. I will email you.

Subject: [SECURITY] whole disk encryption

My college is investigating three products for enterprise-class computer
workstation endpoint encryption. I'm looking for
comments/recommendations/experiences for:

 *   Checkpoint Endpoint Encryption
 * McAfee Endpoint Encryption (we use their AV)
 *   Microsoft's MBAM

Effectiveness, ease of deployment and use, vendor support experiences,
etc.

Thanks!

Larry
