We are currently using Credant encryption as it can do Windows, Mac, and
removable media. This process has not been without a few headaches, but I
some of those headaches were self-inflicted. We are revaluating our
encryption policies in the upcoming months.

We currently plan on encrypting all desktop and laptop machines. There are
plans to roll out the removable encryption product this next school year.

For those that are using or considering encryption are you looking at

Laptops

Desktops? If so, do you encrypt all desktops or just select desktops with
known confidential data on it.

At the University of Arizona we are using Sophos SafeGuard full-disk
encryption. We are not sure how long we will be using it since our new UISO
would like to use BitLocker.

Hi Jim,

We used to use CheckPoint but happily moved away from it because of
numerous issues.

We are now using PGP/Symantec encryption, and while not perfect it much
better than our CheckPoint experience.

We currently use Checkpoint -- however their new version E80.xx does not
support our Symantec 12.1, 12.2 etc anti-maleware endpoint solution -- so
we are forced to seek another vendor for our encryption needs.

Checkpoint FDE/MDE was clunky and we have had lots of issues with it , so
this is an opportunity for us.

I just wanted to see what folks have found success with and if there are
any recommendations.

Thank you.
