We're using PGP Whole Disk Encryption for Macs and Windows and have been very satisfied, except they do not yet support Snow Leopard. The do support Windows 7, though. -- Harvard Townsend Chief Information Security Officer Kansas State University Email: harv () ksu edu, Voice: 785-532-2985 On 11/13/2009 8:36 AM, David Grisham wrote:

With OSX, the included encryption tool only encrypts data that is stored in the user's folder. This leaves too much to chance, so we are extending our PointSec deployment to the Macs. Apparently CheckPoint has worked out the incompatabilities that PointSec had with Snow Leopard (as has most everyone else). We're coming up on our Checkpoint renewal. I'm curious what folks are using for Apple hardware encryption. Are you using the built-in product or something extra such as PointSec? Todd A.
