We release weekly information to our departmental LAN Admins on a weekly basis, to let them know of the upcoming
changes that have been approved by our IT Services change control board. We supplement that communication with general
or targeted emails to impacted users, as well as a "current outages" web page that our help desk maintains.

How does everyone balance their "need to know" of system/network outages with their relationship with local media
and/or campus students, faculty, and staff?
Do you send out broadcast emails, have a hotline, or, post outages on a webpage?
