We've deployed Tippingpoint devices at campus network border points. IPS detects along with information from Nessus scans and campus honeypot feed a SQL database. Authorized campus unit technical staff can query the database for their systems. In addition, email alerts from the SQL database are generated to technical staff by a background application. The Tippingpoint addition has been extremely useful. We are currently looking at Tipping Point. Any comments on the solution are welcome. Thanks Anand Anand Malwade Information Security Officer, Seton Hall University
