Most likely that is the case when copyright material has been removed  
from YouTube based on a request of the
intellectual property right owner.

I'd noticed that NBC selectively pulled videos of a few SNL skits  
recently and left others
(the Tina Fey / Sarah Palin skits) on YouTube and got the 'video no  
longer available' message.
