Well, if you are trying to ensure your Sender ID is okay and see if they
can approve it, etc., here's some info...

First we reported to nocmail () microsoft com, and they reported:

To further diagnose this problem, could you please send an actual
example of the message which is failing delivery directly to
_randomtestacct () hotmail com <mailto:randomtestacct () hotmail com>_ from
your MTA. Please make this message an actual email that you would send
to your customers. Do not include the word test in your subject line.
Once this message has been sent please let me know what the subject line
for the message is.

You may also be able to find additional information on common delivery
questions at the Hotmail Postmaster Site found at:
_http://postmaster.msn.com/_.

Please send some example emails to randomtestacct () hotmail com
<mailto:randomtestacct () hotmail com> from your esignforms.com mail
server. When you do this, please reply to this address
(gesthm () microsoft com) with subject lines of emails you have sent.
Please make sure that these emails are functionally similar to the types
of emails that originate from your system, as any deviation from this
may hinder our ability to investigate your problem. Do not use the
word, "Test" or anything that would change the email from the original
message that was initially sent to Hotmail Customers.

They did suggest going to
http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=YOURDOMAIN and be
sure there are not issues reported. We found our SPF/Sender ID
configuration needed to be sure there were no loops.

The Sender Score Certified people sent us a calculator to determine "how
much money we're losing" by not being able to send emails to them, but
we told them we don't spam so we don't lose money, we just cannot
deliver emails to people who have hotmail accounts and WANT the emails
we're sending, just like your case.

Good luck,
H

Thanks Harry,

Don't suppose you have any email or phone contacts within Hotmail do you?

Has anyone experienced being blacklisted by Hotmail? In order to
remove our current "blacklisting" we have been advised by Hotmail that
we need to subscribe to their outsourced 'Sender Score Certified
Program', however actually talking with anyone at Hotmail about the
issue and its resolution is proving extremely challenging.

Cha-ching! This program only makes sense if you are a bulk emailer,
the last I checked. It's such a joke because they should simply allow
things to work if you have Sender ID configured and your email system
is not an open relay or otherwise not following standard email specs.

If anyone has had any experience with dealing with Hotmail on this
level any advice/recommendations would be appreciated as this is now
severely impacting our core business as many students have their email
forwarded to Hotmail, and we are therefore unable to send an email to
them.

Everyone generally finds Hotmail to be a pain to deal with, though we
found we could get some responses from them, though it took a day for
each exchange, meaning it takes a while to get through it all. And
then you can find yourself back in the same boat a year later....ugh!

What's so frustrating is that hotmail email addresses are used for a
lot of spamming. You'd think they'd make it easier for someone who is
personally contacting them to get white listed, and then let you know
if/when they suspect they are getting spam from your systems. But
it's never easy and they make matters worse with people opening
hotmail accounts on a daily basis to send out spam or register for
sites and then never use the account again.

Good luck.
Harry
