We have Deepfreeze and McAfee. We run the update tasks (and full system
scans) during our overnight maintenance window. When using deepfreeze it
doesn't make sense to do otherwise.

Subject: [SECURITY] Deep Freeze & Boot Times

Does anyone use Deep Freeze on their campus and have horrible boot
times? One of our issues is that Symantec Virus Definitions are updated
every time a computer is booted and that takes a lot of time. Are there
other alternatives that you all are using?
