Mass email handling

We at Humber were wondering how other institutions are handling sending bulk
email to the global community for marketing purposes.

We would like to know if others are outsourcing this type of communication,
what mechanism is being used (if in house) for delivery. Delivery spacing
(delays). Disclaimer / opt out lines or hyperlinks. etc...

This is a hot topic for us at present...
