Question Regarding a Managed Desktop Environment

Good Morning,

I just wanted to query the list and learn if other schools are working in a managed desktop environment.  I would like 
to produce some documentation which identifies the pro's and con's of this type of solution through the people who 
actually use it.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance,
