Hello List

It is about time for me to renew my subscription for my home firewall
appliance.

I am currently allowed to use 5 'nodes' accessing the internet at the
same time and I have a URL filtering subscription along with the usual
software/hardware support.
With Father Christmas being particularly fond of devices that require an
IP address (iPods - Xboxes - etc) I need to upgrade from 5 to 25 nodes.

In total I am going to have to pay around 900 US dollars!!!

What are my alternatives?

I have looked at Sonicwall, Sofaware, etc.
Any recommendations? other solutions to keep my home network and kids
safe?

Thanks in advance.

Paul

run them all through a router before you get to the firewall. then, you only need 1 node. Keep the rest on private IPs behind the router. The only catch here is that I do not know how awesome your home network appliance is. Do you need to be able to have very granular logging capabilities? you will lose this with the router as everything will appear to come from the same host.
