Or you can do a project on encryption. Study the theory of encryption
and so some experiments using GPG.

KishoreKumar,

It is always a good idea to discuss different protocols at the OSI layer
and show packet dumps of the communications on the wire.  It is very
educational to see what is happening at the packet layer not to mention
how helpful it is from a troubleshooting perspective.
